There is no place like day camp, and there is no day camp in the world quite like Frogbridge, the best day camp in Monmouth County.
Frank, the owner of Frogbridge Day Camp, currently resides right here in Millstone Township, New Jersey. He holds a B.A. and M.A. degree in Education from St. John’s University. Frank has been a teacher, dean and athletic coach for over 30 years, and has been actively involved in the camping industry since 1984. Frank has a passion for food and travel, which carries over to the exquisite dining offered at our day camp and banquet facility. If you happen to see Frank dining out locally with his wife, Marjorie, be sure to say hello! Frank is the ultimate Mets fan… He and his son JR have gone to every Mets home opener since 1980!
Our Director, J.R., also resides in Millstone Township, New Jersey. He is a graduate of Hofstra University, where he gained his B.S. in Education. J.R. has been actively involved in the camping industry his entire life, both a camper (since age 3) and as an employee (since age 16)! He has served as a Camp Director since 1991. His experience also includes organizing and directing After School Child Care Programs for over five-year-olds. J.R. has served as the American Camp Association Day Camp Chair for the State of New Jersey for two years. In his free time, JR enjoys spending time playing outdoors, traveling with his wife, Danielle, and their four children, and catching a ball game with his family!
A Team Committed to Excellence
Our talented and dedicated leadership team oversees each group at camp. These “camp leaders” are your liaisons to all things camp throughout the summer – always just a phone call away! They offer campers the guidance and nurturing that only camping professionals with years of experience can supply. Reach out for a personal tour from a member of our leadership team on most camp days!
Division Leaders
Our Division Leaders are each assigned a specific grade and will be on-site with their camp groups each and every day of the summer. They assist, advise, and “parent” their groups with plenty of care and nurturing. Division Leaders will meet with their team members every day at their morning team meeting to prepare for the fun day ahead.
Once the camp day begins, Division Leaders stay with their groups, ensuring that the day camp experience is a positive one for every individual camper and group as a whole! While at swim or lunch periods, Division Leaders are present, helping to organize and maintain a positive environment of friendships and fun! They keep diligent track of each group’s whereabouts and are happy to check in on any camper throughout the day.
Program Director
Our Program Director is directly responsible for making each child’s camp stay an exciting one, packed full of exhilarating activities and positive experiences! All camp schedules (including rainy day and hazy, hot and humid scheduling) are carefully prepared and designed with each child’s age, interests and learning abilities in mind. We will meet with each camp group after our second week to gather feedback & will adjust schedules accordingly. Each week is a themed week at Frogbridge, leading up to carefully selected weekly special events that campers always look forward to!
Aquatics Director
Our Aquatics Director is directly responsible for all aquatic activities and aquatic team members at Frogbridge. Our team consists of more than 30 experienced, First Aid and C.P.R. certified lifeguards. Many are also certified Water Safety Instructors. Our numbers far exceed all state recommendations, as safety in and around our pools and lakes is a top priority! All instructional swim periods are supervised by our Aquatics Directors and our three Head Lifeguards, which act as assistants to our Aquatics Directors and “captains” to our other aquatic team members. Our entire aquatics staff is fully dedicated to improving each camper’s abilities, while always maintaining a safe environment at our pools.
At the Lakefront, our Lakefront Director and Head Guards will always be on-site, directly supervising all lakefront activities. Our lakes are over-staffed with guards, each assigned to a specific role that helps ensure camper safety. Every participant in ANY lakefront activity MUST wear a personal floatation device.
