Dear Parents and Friends,
As the director of Frogbridge Day Camp, I am frequently asked many
questions by camp parents concerning the
care and supervision, facility, and programs that children receive and experience not only here at Frogbridge, but also at summer camps across the state. While I cannot answer for the dozens of summer programs throughout central New Jersey, I can give definitive and detailed insight as to what makes Frogbridge stand apart from the rest. In addition, I can provide you with in depth information regarding our extremely high standards, our dedicated and experienced camp
employees,
our facility,
our programs,
our policies, and so much more.
Choosing the right camp for your child can at first seem like a daunting task, but don’t get overwhelmed, in actuality it’s quite simple. Remember, thousands of parents just like you have faced the very same process throughout the years, so you are certainly not alone feeling this way!
The first thing to do is narrow your choices down to the two or three camps you are considering to be the best fits for your children. Among the items to consider most should be the:
- Care and supervision offered to your children
- Age and experience of those caregivers
- Camp’s facility
- Food served (especially if allergies are a major concern)
- Medical team in place
- Daily activities program your children will experience
- Daily communication between camp and parent
Often times, a simple
visit or tour of the camp is all it will take to give you all the information you will need to make an informed decision. Remember, these are your children we are talking about, and nothing matters more to us as parents than their well being. Knowing that you have researched, toured, and compared all of the options available to you as a parent, should give you the peace of mind needed as you send your children off on that first day of summer camp.
For a checklist of sorts, designed to help you as a parent while you prepare for your first visit to the camps you have decided to research, visit our
Ask the Director page. I’m sure you will find it to be extremely helpful in preparing the various questions about the things that matter most to you.
Happy camping everybody! And if you are in the Millstone Township area, be sure to stop by Frogbridge or give me a call. I would love to hear from you!
Sincerely,
JR Pugliese
